Glebe House was acquired by Merling Care Homes in December 2020. The home has been a consistent provider of excellent care with residents, stakeholders, family and staff consistently giving praise to the home.
Rated 9.4/10 on carehomes.co.uk, Glebe House offers several different types of elderly care, including respite care for short breaks and permanent care for those who can no longer live at home.
Glebe House is a gorgeous spacious home with 24 rooms, all en-suite and all decorated and furnished to a lovely finish. We intentionally keep our resident numbers low to create a homely atmosphere and make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.
Fun and engaging activities is a key part of life at Glebe House and we have an extensive calendar of events created by our dedicated activities co-ordinator and well-being consultant, to ensure residents are stimulated and happy at all times.
Weekly and monthly activities include fun games such as bingo and bowling; singing and dancing, exercise classes, and various arts and crafts, such as painting. We also hold weekly one to one sessions, motivational classes and activities to enhance memory function.
In addition, we are always excited to celebrate special occassions such as birthdays and key calendar events, as well as hosting parties, where we encourage and welcome as many family and freinds to join with us in the fun. We recently celebrated one of our residents 100th birthday, which was a momentous and very special occassion for all at the home.
Our in-house chef creates wonderfully nutricious and varied meals catering for a range of paletts and tastes. And when it’s party time, he bakes a great cake too!
